DESCRIPTIONThis traditonal shutter uses a 1 3/8" x1 3/8" stile and features fewer louvers, set at a lower angle.
A 3/8" half round moulding frams the louvers, providing a "heavier" look. The middle rail is 3 1/4" and the top and bottom rails are 2 3/4". |

DESCRIPTIONI found this shutter on a fishing camp at one of the lakes in our town. I liked the looks and proportion so we designed one for our shop. I also noticed the same basic shutter design but with a sloop cutout that was found on a coastal cottage - bungalow style house. Because of its simple design it also fits nicely on a ranch-style home of any year. The stiles are 1 3/8" thick x 1 1/2" wide; the top is 2", the middle rail is 2 1/2", bottom rail is 3 1/2" wide. As with all of our shutters these measurments can be changed to meet your needs. The top panel is made from 3/4" pine and can be ordered with cutouts or something personal for you. If you prefer your own cutout design, just keep it simple and we will try our best to do it. |
